HSLC has voluntarily opened up to the analysis of a “jury of its peers”. The peer review team reviewed the compliance of the HSLC with the Standards for Excellency®: Ethics and Responsibility Code for the Non-Profit Sector, in areas such as: Mission, strategy and evaluation; Leadership: Board of Directors, staff and volunteers; Legal and ethical compliance; Finance and operations; Resource development; and public awareness, engagement and advocacy.
